It all started with an invitation….one that kept being put off….maybe next year.   But the invite kept coming and Pastor Jim finally agreed to go to the Amazon region in Brazil in February 2009 with Pastor John King of Riverside Community Church.   God used that experience to begin a vision in Pastor Jim’s heart for Richwoods Christian Church (RCC) to join with several other Central Illinois churches to be God’s hands and feet in this area of Brazil.

The next step was to form a team that would provide leadership to Richwoods’ efforts in Brazil.  This team was formed in the summer of 2009 and a vision trip was made to prepare the way for ongoing ministry.  Partnerships with several Brazilian organizations have been formed.  RCC is ready to make a three to five year commitment to this area of the world.  The next trip is scheduled for March 19 – 26, 2010.
